DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN BELIZE - NORTHERN BARRIER REEF BLISS On arrival at Belize International Airport connect with a short (15 minute) Maya Island Air flight with spectacular aeriel views of the Belize Barrier Reef en route to San Pedro. This lovely beachfront village is located on the tropical island of Ambergris Caye - made famous by Madonna in her song "La Isla Bonita" - "The Beautiful Island" - where the turquoise waters of the Caribbean caress the shore. Relax and unwind during your 4 night stay in San Pedro which is laid-back and friendly. We have not included meals for this part of your tour so that you have the freedom to choose from the wide variety of excellent restaurants in all price ranges. Enjoy a Belikin Beer and a snack in any number of beachfront hang-outs and thatched roof bars or a gourmet dinner in a first class restaurant. Scuba divers will enjoy the following dive trips:- Day trip to Lighthouse Reef and Jacques Cousteau's world famous "BLUE HOLE" 1 day local diving including Shark Ray Alley 1 night dive at Hol Chan Marine Reserve NOTE: Subject to availability on arrival, you can upgrade the above day trip to the Blue Hole for a 2 day / 1 night Live-aboard Trip to Lighthouse Reef, Half-Moon Caye and the BLUE HOLE for a supplement of $100 per person. Snorkelers and Non-Diving companions are also welcome (Cost: $165 for 2 day/1 night trip). DAY 5 - SOUTHERN BARRIER REEF BLISS! Today you will transfer back to the San Pedro Airstrip for the short flight southwards to Dangriga. The domestic flights in Belize are all non-pressurised and low flying. Many of the pilots are also divers. You will be met on arrival at the airstrip and driven to the dock for the boat transfer to Tobacco Caye, an idyllic private island. 4 night stay in Belizean-style island accommodation situated on a beautiful beach overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Southern Barrier Reef. The island falls within the Southwater Caye Marine Reserve which has been designated a World Heritage Site. Extra nights easily arranged on request. ACCOMMODATIONS : Depending on availability lodgings will be at either   Reefs End Lodge, Ocean's Edge Lodge   or Tobacco Caye Lodge. MEALS : Three delicious meals including fresh seafood, fresh fruit and home baking, served family-style. SCUBA DIVERS : 2 days x 2 boat dives daily including tanks, weights & belts. DAY 9 - DEPARTURE   Unfortunately, it is time to pack your bags for home! Transfer by boat back to the mainland for the short drive to Dangriga Airstrip.
