For the past 20 years, the San Ignacio Resort Hotel has been the social and cultural center for the Cayo District of Western Belize.
When Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II came to San Ignacio, she was given hospitality fit for a queen. The same "royal treatment" is waiting for you! |
| Conveniently located on the Highway to Maya History, The San Ignacio Resort Hotel is situated on a hill just along the Macal River in San Igancio providing you with the only jungle in town. 14 acres of rainforest is home to over 150 species of birds and many other wildlife. Botanic and Nature trails wind down to the Macal River identifying over 70 species of trees and plants. The Green Iguana Conservation Project will offer you a chance to see this disappearing species being protected and released into their own habitat. Lectures and slide presentations are available for educational groups. |
