Built on 12 acres, Pirates Paradise served as the hide out for the English
Pirate, John Glover, as well as the hiding spot for his treasures.
You don't have to be a fisherman or a diver to enjoy Pirates Paradise
Resort. There's excellent snorkeling along the reefs for the advanced and
beginner.
Pirates Paradise offers beginning snorkeling instruction for
those who wish to experience many of the same thrills as the divers -
petting a nurse shark, exploring beautiful coral reefs or, if you're lucky,
playing with a school of dolphins.
Each snorkeling trip is a new and
different adventure! Snorkel Trips are scheduled each day and are located
within minutes of Pirates Paradise.
Our large, comfortable guest rooms are located on the beach with a panoramic
view of the reef.
All rooms are centrally air-conditioned and also have
ceiling fans.
Each room is furnished with one queen size bed and one
single bed. All rooms have private baths with two sinks and a shower.
Main Lodge: The social center for Pirates Paradise is the main lodge
building where meals are served. A pre-dinner gathering for hors d'oeuvres
and drinks is customary. The large breezy verandah is a wonderful place to
enjoy the evening.
Meals: We pride ourselves in providing quality dining complete with
fresh fruit, fresh seafood and fresh baked pastries. Meals are a tasty
combination of Belizean and American dishes served family-style.
You will be awakened at 6:30 a.m. with fresh coffee or tea served on
your cabin verandah. A hearty breakfast of fresh fruit, cereal, eggs,
pancakes, bacon, sausage and fresh baked goods is served from approximately
7:00 - 9:00 a.m.
Management will have talked with you the prior evening about whether you
prefer to take lunch or return to the lodge for lunch. Lunch at the resort
is a fairly substantial meal.
Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails are served at 6:30. Dinner at 7:00 is the big
meal of the day and the focal point of the evening. Entrees vary from
seafood, chicken, pork and beef.
Bar: Our bar is well stocked with at least Scotch, Bourbon, Gin, Rum,
Vodka, Tequila, Vermouth and a couple of liqueurs. In addition, we have
red & white wine as well as local Belikin beer. Liquor, beer and setups
are not included in your package price. Individual tabs are kept,
and you can check on your bill at any time during your stay.
At the end of
your stay (usually on Friday evening), you can settle up your bill with
cash, travelers checks or personal checks. We do not take credit cards.
