Kanantik is a new eco-tourist resort on the southern coast of Belize which was built within a natural environment and which attempts to preserve the setting established by nature.

Kanantik is built on a 1,300-foot private beach in the South Stann Creek area, 18 miles south of Dangriga Town, which is the cultural center of the Garifuna (Garinagu) people.

The Resort is four miles south of the Cockscomb Basin National Park (Jaguar Preserve).

The property encompasses over 300 acres of pristine and untouched land, which is full of wildlife: a large variety of birds and other animals (including jaguar) can be observed.

There is a Reception area, a Restaurant, and a Bar. The style of the construction is inspired by Mayan tradition, and all the buildings have thatched roofs.

The resort has a swimming pool and a complete dive shop, as well as a professional 42' dive boat (Newton 42) and a professional 32' deep water fishing boat (Newton 32).

Sea sports activities will include scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing (Hobie Cat), and sea kayaking. On trips to the nearby adjacent Sapodilla lagoon, manatee can be seen.

- Beachside, fully air conditioned, private thatched roof cabaña with wrap-around deck. Each cabaña comes with either a king size or two full twin four post beds

- Full meal plan: breakfast 'a la carte', lunch and three courses dinner.

- Coffees, teas, soft drinks and fresh squeezed juices are provided daily.

  • Snorkeling at the barrier reef at South Water Caye marine reserve. (full day)
  • Scuba diving on the barrier reef, two dives per day, all gear included.
